Strong body hair – whether on the face, on the chest, on the neck or on the arms and legs – often represents a cosmetic problem. During laser epilation, special lasers (Nd: YAG laser and diode laser) with a cooling system, destroy the hair on the root, without hurting the skin. In contrast to this method, hair removal by shaving and waxing only has a short-term effect and often leads to ingrown hairs with an inflammation of the hair roots.
After a laser epilation, the treated body region is only reddened for 2 to 3 days and a little bit sensitive. Usually, several treatments are necessary because hair can only be effectively destroyed at a certain stage of growth. Hair removal is lasting, but not permanent. To optimize the result, after-treatment should therefore be carried out after 1 to 2 years.
